Junior keeper Natalie Fettinger came on in the 62nd minute – just her second appearance of the year – after Lincicum was forced from the game due to injury. ... Milwaukee also has won 14 consecutive regular-season conference championships, the second-longest such streak in NCAA history. ... Michigan scored three times in 13 minutes midway through the second half to beat the Panthers 3-0 in a season opener back on Aug. 23 in Ann Arbor. ... Milwaukee was winless in its first six games (0-5-1), but has won eight of its past nine. ... The Wolverines, who are ranked 11th in this week's NSCAA Top 25, are seeded third in this 16-team bracket. ... Senior forward Nkem Ezurike has 11 goals this season and a program-record 46 in her career, and also has nine assists on the year. ... Amazingly, she only started playing keeper two years ago. ... Five state players on 24-player roster. ... Have advanced past the first round in five of previous six NCAA appearances. ... Michigan Tech, located in Houghton in the Upper Peninsula, has very strong Wisconsin connections. Coach Michelle Jacob (UW-Stevens Point) and assistant Chuck Coan are from Neenah, and the Huskies' 30-player roster features 19 state natives. Tech's top three scorers are sophomore forward Lexi Herrewig (Winnebago Lutheran), senior midfielder Lindsey Van Rooy (Kaukauna) and senior forward Katie Boardman (Fond du Lac) and the starting keeper is sophomore Jenna Phelps (Bay Port). The Huskies, making their NCAA debut in their fourth season, lost to Parkside 5-1 back on Sept. 7. ... This is the Rangers' third trip to Quincy this fall, having lost to the host Hawks 3-2 on Sept. 20 and 2-1 in last Sunday's GLVC tournament final. Parkside is the only team to have scored more than one goal against eighth-ranked Quincy, which has outscored foes 30-7 and has recorded 15 clean sheets in 21 matches.

From the touchline: Vanden Avond (De Pere) has scored more this goals this fall than any player in NCAA or NAIA, man or woman. She's the ninth player in Division III women's history to score 36 goals in a season (the record is 43) and she has 90 career goals, 34 short of the Division III career mark. Vanden Avond has one four-goal game and seven other hat tricks this fall and has scored in 17 of 20 matches – the Green Knights were shut out by Edgewood College and Ripon, games in which the opposing keepers made 15 and 16 saves, respectively. ... Have allowed 17 goals in 19 matches since a 5-1 loss to Aurora in the season opener Aug. 30. ... Nineteen of 25 players on the roster are from Wisconsin. ... Washington-St. Louis is ranked first in the NSCAA Top 25, the D3soccer.com Top 25 and the NSCAA Central Region poll. The Bears have won 11 straight since their lone loss, 1-0 to Wheaton (Ill.) on Sept. 21, and have outscored opponents 66-4 on the season with 15 shutouts. Sophomore midfielder Liz Collins (Brookfield Academy) has three goals and two assists in 11 matches for Washington-St. Louis. ... No. 19 Calvin blanked Aurora 1-0 in a first-round NCAA match last year. The Spartans, who beat Edgewood 1-0 in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference tournament final last Saturday, are seeking their first win in their 10th NCAA appearance. Senior defender Jenee Lange (Green Bay Notre Dame) has five assists in 19 matches for Aurora, which has won nine in a row since 1-0 loss to Edgewood in regular-season play on Oct. 5 – its other loss was 2-1 to Loras (Iowa) on Sept. 15.
