FC Wisconsin Eclipse closed out the home portion of its fall schedule in style Saturday.
The club's Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 teams went unbeaten against Minnesota Thunder Academy in Elite Clubs National League matches at the FC Wisconsin Complex in Germantown, allowing just one goal in the process.
The Under-17 side posted an impressive victory, as Steph Fabry (Milwaukee DSHA) scored on a 25-yard strike and Jordyn Bloomer (Hartland Arrowhead) preserved the clean sheet.
In the Under-16 match, Payton Wesley (Hartland Arrowhead) and Mary Kate Simon (Mequon Homestead) each scored on corner kicks and Katie Wegman (Mequon Homestead) ran on to a through ball from Emma Langer (Waukesha West) and finished for the other goal in a 3-0 win. And Lindsey Weiss (Cedarburg) scored for the Under-15 team in a 1-0 draw.
Those three Eclipse sides, along with the club's Under-18 team, will play Friday through Sunday at an ECNL National Event in Phoenix to conclude their fall seasons.
The FC Wisconsin Nationals Under-15/16 team swept opponents from St. Louis club Scott Gallagher in Germantown, beating the Metro team 2-1 on Saturday and dispatching the Missouri side by the same score Sunday to wrap up its fall schedule.
Tunji Akindes (Kenosha Bradford) scored his team-best fifth goal in the 21st minute and Todor Atlija (Franklin) added his third of the season in the 29th as the Nationals (4-3-1) rallied against Scott Gallagher Metro after falling behind in the 19th.
A day later, Clay Vichich (Whitefish Bay) netted his first of the year and Michael Carreon (Kimberly) picked up his second as FC Wisconsin won for the third time in four matches and moved up to sixth in the 13-team Central Conference Mid-America Division.
The Nationals' Under-15/16 and Under-17/18 teams have one more competition in 2013, as they'll play at a USSDA Showcase from Dec. 10 to 15 in Sarasota, Fla. League play resumes in March and the regular season concludes June 7.
