Club notes: FC Wisconsin Nationals U13/14 team unbeaten in Indiana

The new FC Wisconsin Nationals Under-13/14 team earned its first victory Saturday in Carmel, Ind., beating Cincinnati United Premier 3-1 at a U.S. Soccer Development Academy regional event.

Jonathon Hernandez, Mark Orlowski and Trey Goodnetter scored for the Nationals, who had dropped their first six matches – half of those one-goal games.

FC Wisconsin closed out the event with a 1-1 tie against Texans SC Houston on Sunday, with Axel Soriano scoring for the Nationals.

All three FC Wisconsin Nationals sides are off next weekend, then play host to the Scott Gallagher Metro and Missouri teams in USSDA Central Conference Mid-America Division matches Nov. 9 and 10 in Germantown. Schedule, results, rosters

  • Three state girls were selected to participate in the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program National Training Camp, which is Jan. 27 to Feb. 1 in Phoenix. Oconomowoc's Haddie Carlson (SC Waukesha) and Racine's Hannah Compernolle (FC Wisconsin Eclipse) were chosen from the 1999 age group, while Stevens Point defender Justice Menge (Portage County) was named to the 1998 group.
