The FC Wisconsin Nationals' Under-17/18 team earned its first win of the U.S. Development Academy season in dramatic fashion Saturday.

Jaime Colin (Kenosha Tremper) scored off a feed from Dane Zaher (Waunakee) in the 89th minute, and Bernardo Macias (Milwaukee Tenor) posted the clean sheet as the Nationals beat Crew Soccer Academy Wolves 1-0 in Livonia, Mich.

FC Wisconsin quickly doubled its win total, getting two goals from Reid Stevenson (Sturgeon Bay) and one each from Nick Moon (Waukesha West) and Nikola Atlija (Franklin) in a 4-1 victory over Vardar on Sunday in Pontiac, Mich.

The Nationals (2-4-0) moved up to 10th place in the 12-team Mid-America Division in the USSDA Central Conference. Colin, Moon and Stevenson have all verbally committed to UW-Milwaukee – Moon and Stevenson for 2014 and Colin for 2015 – while Atlija has committed to the University of Wisconsin.

• The Under-15/16 team also had a solid weekend, beating Crew Soccer Academy Wolves 2-1 and falling to Vardar 1-0. Goals by Adetunji Akindes (Kenosha Bradford) and Todor Atlija (Franklin) staked the Nationals to a 2-0 lead after 25 minutes Saturday against fourth-place Wolves, who pulled one back just after the half-hour mark. Akindes (four) and Atlija (two) have combined for six of FC Wisconsin's nine goals this season. A 28th-minute goal was the difference Sunday as third-place Vardar held off the 10th-place Nationals (2-3-1).
• The new Under-13/14 team is still in search of its first win, having lost its first six matches – half of those coming by one goal. Mark Orlowski (Waukesha), Trey Goodnetter (Elm Grove), Jonathan Hernandez (Milwaukee) and Kamrin Pegues (Milwaukee) all have scored more than one goal for the team, which will play two matches at a USSDA event Saturday and Sunday in Carmel, Ind.
• All three FC Wisconsin Nationals sides return home to Germantown for USSDA matches Nov. 9 and 10 against the Scott Gallagher Metro and Missouri teams. Schedule, results, rosters
