Girls teams from four clubs claimed the first four titles of the 2014 Wisconsin State Championships on Saturday, earning berths in next summer's U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships along with their state bragging rights.

The SC Waukesha Under-15 team was the only side to repeat as champions in the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association tournament commonly referred to as the State Cup, beating a team from the newly renamed Strike FC Wisconsin 1-0 in the first final of the day at Time Warner Cable Stadium at Milwaukee's Uihlein Soccer Park.

In the Under-16 final, Fusion – the new club formed by Grafton SC and Mequon SC – denied Middleton's Rush Wisconsin its second straight title. The defending champions equalized in the second half, but Fusion pulled out a 2-1 victory after extra time.

Strike FC Wisconsin picked up its first state championship in the Under-17 bracket, beating De Pere 1-0 on a goal in the 72nd minute. North Shore United was the only team to win by more than one goal, dropping Strike FC Wisconsin 3-0 in the Under-18 final.

These four divisions of the championships are annually contested in the fall to avoid conflicts with the WIAA prep girls season; all seven boys divisions and the Under-13, Under-14 and Under-19 girls competitions will be played in the spring. State champions also earn berths in the Region II Championships, which are June 21 to 25 in Dayton, Ohio.
