Sept. 16, 1981: In its first official match as a varsity program, the University of Wisconsin women's team routed visiting Beloit College 18-0 – the goal total and margin of victory remain program records more than 30 years later. The Badgers went 15-7-1 under coach Craig Webb that season, but their official record is listed as 4-6-0 because 13 of those matches were against club teams.
