Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) is adding another European country to his resume.

The Canadian international striker, who previously has played with clubs in Finland, Romania and Norway, joined Turkish second division side Bucaspor earlier this month.

The 26-year-old Ricketts started the year with Sandnes Ulf in Norway's top-level Tippeligaen, and scored two goals in 13 appearances (seven starts) – both goals came in an NM Cupen match. Bucaspor, which is located in Izmir in western Turkey, is early into the TFF First League season and is off to a 1-2-0 start.

Ricketts spent the past 10 days with the Canadian national team in Valencia, Spain, a training camp that concluded with a 1-0 loss to Mauritania on Tuesday in Oliva. Ricketts started and went 52 minutes in the friendly, which came three days after the same teams played a scoreless draw – he didn't play in Sunday's match.

The 33-year-old DeMerit played 70 minutes in a scrimmage against the University of British Columbia on Aug. 20. Twitter: @D6MERIT
