Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) gets his first chance to impress new Canadian national team coach Benito Floro next week.
The 26-year-old striker from Norwegian club Sandnes Ulf is one of 33 players called into a 10-day training camp that starts Sunday in Valencia, Spain. The camp includes friendlies against Mauritania on Sept. 8 and 10.
Ricketts has five goals in 26 career caps for Canada. He's made 13 first-team appearances in his first season at Sandnes Ulf, scoring both of his goals in Cup play, and reportedly has been sidelined recently due to a groin injury.
