July 30, 1997: Chris Jahr (Racine Park/UW-Milwaukee) headed in a cross from Pat White (Milwaukee Pius/UW-Parkside) in the 46th minute for what proved to be the winning goal as the Chicago Stingers of the USISL D-3 Pro League stunned Major League Soccer's Colorado Rapids 2-1 in a U.S. Open Cup third-round match in Arlington Heights, Ill. Kevin Deck (UW-Milwaukee) came off the bench for the Stingers, who took a 2-0 lead on Jahr's goal and held off a second-half barrage by the 10-man Rapids.
