The University of Wisconsin men's soccer team will make at least two television appearances this fall.

Two of the Badgers' Big Ten Conference matches are on the Big Ten Network schedule, coming on consecutive Sundays.

The first is Oct. 27 against Michigan State at the McClimon Complex, then the following Sunday Nov. 3 against Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. Both games will kick off at 2 p.m.

By coincidence, UW had two matches shown on BTN last season – losing to Michigan State 2-0 in East Lansing, Mich., and tying Northwestern 0-0 at McClimon. The Badgers are 2-7-3 all-time in games on BTN in the network's five-year history.

  • Nick Chapman is the new women's coach at Beloit College, succeeding Liz Bartley and becoming the 10th coach in Buccaneers' program history. For the past two years, Chapman was the women's coach at Bay Path (Mass.), in addition to serving as assistant athletic director and recruiting coordinator. Chapman, who was a four-year starter at George Fox in his native Oregon, also has been an assistant at Division II Regis (Colo.) and Division III Bard (N.Y.). Beloit finished 7-9-1 overall and 3-7-0 and tied for eighth place in the 11-team Midwest Conference last fall.
  • Two coaches with Wisconsin ties were selected for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's "30 Under 30" program. UW-Green Bay men's assistant Logan Hoffman and Wesley Lomnicki (UW-Whitewater), who coaches in the men's program at Elmhurst College (Ill.) and with Oak Brook SC, were chosen to participate in the program, which provides a year-long education and mentorship opportunity to help young coaches grow in the profession.
