Two UW-Green Bay recruits will look to end their youth club careers with a national championship Saturday night.

Defender Valdis Upmalis, forward Eddosa Muhammed and Minnesota's Shattuck-St. Mary's take on the New York Red Bulls in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Under-17/18 final at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. on the home field of Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo.

Upmalis has played all 270 minutes at the event for Shattuck (2-0-1), which claimed the Group 2 title and a berth in the national final on goal differential over California's De Anza Force.

Shattuck beat the New England Revolution 3-2 on Sunday, blanked St. Louis Scott Gallagher 3-0 on Tuesday and tied De Anza 2-2 on Thursday. Muhammed came on as a sub in each of the past two matches, in the 57th and 88th minutes for Shattuck (23-7-3).

Midfielder Skyler Felt, a University of Wisconsin recruit, played the first half for the Force in the draw against Shattuck and logged the first 64 minutes in Tuesday's 2-1 win over New England. De Anza, which finished one goal behind Shattuck in goal differential, faces New York's Albertson SC in the third-place match Saturday afternoon.

Scott Gallagher finished third in the group with a 1-2-0 record and will play the Vancouver Whitecaps in Saturday's fifth-place game.

UW-Green Bay recruit Conner Sendobry opened the scoring for the Missouri side in a 3-1 victory over the Revolution on Thursday, and UW recruit Brian Hail scored the final goal in the 47th. Hail went all 90, fellow Badgers recruit Nick Jones played the first 64 minutes and Sendobry came on for the final 21 in Tuesday's loss to Shattuck.

Under-15/16

Defender Bayley Scholz (Kimberly) and Real Salt Lake-Arizona will play for the national championship against Texas' Solar Chelsea SC at 6 p.m. Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Scholz hasn't appeared in any matches at Finals Week – he was an unused sub in last Sunday's 3-1 win over Albertson, but wasn't on the gameday roster for the team's 1-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo on Tuesday or the 1-0 win over Texas SC Houston on Thursday that gave them the Group 1 title on goal differential by one goal over Albertson.

Both championship matches will be streamed live on the U.S. Soccer website Saturday night.
