July 31, 2011: Cara Walls (Wauwatosa East) scored twice in two minutes in extra time and Mady Vicker (Whitefish Bay) added another insurance goal as FC Milwaukee powered past Colorado Rush Nike 4-2 in the girls Under-18 final to win the Frank Kelly Cup in Phoenix, becoming the first Wisconsin side to win a U.S. Youth Soccer national championship. Mary Luba (Shorewood) gave the Nationals the lead in the 54th minute.
