July 4, 2008: Laurie Nosbusch (Mequon Homestead) scored the opening goal as the U.S. Under-18 women's national team – coached by Madison native and former University of Wisconsin coach Dean Duerst – topped the England Under-19 side 2-1 in a friendly in Tours, France. The U.S. also beat Denmark twice on the tour, with Nosbusch scoring in a 5-0 win June 30.
