June 28, 1963: Bob Gansler scored off a corner kick in the 82nd minute as Bavarian SC rallied past West German club SpVgg Plattling in an international friendly watched by 1,500 at Bavarian Field. The home side fell behind on a 25th-minute penalty kick, but Franz Strigenz scored the equalizer in the 57th and goalkeeper Joe Born made several good saves to keep Plattling scoreless in the second half.
