Every February, thousands of soccer players flock to Madison for the President's Cup indoor tournament.
Host club Madison United would like to see the same thing happen with its Vice President's Cup in the summer.
Registration is open for the fourth annual tournament, which is scheduled for July 27 and 28 at Keva Sports Center in Middleton.
The Vice President's Cup is a 7-on-7 tournament on Keva's outdoor turf field, with no offside rule. Teams are guaranteed three 30-minute games, with entries being accepted in Men's Open and Coed divisions – in coed play, at least three women must be playing in the field (not including goalkeeper) at all times. A maximum of 14 players are allowed on each team.
The entry fee is $200 per team if paid in full by check or credit card via PayPal by June 27 and $240 thereafter. To register or get more information, visit the tournament website.
