None of the six Wisconsin teams in the field advanced to Sunday's finals at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II President's Cup as pool play wrapped up Saturday in Overland Park, Kan.

The Central FC Select Strikers Under-17 girls side came the closest to qualifying for the regional finals, falling to North Dakota's Tri City Storm Black 3-1 on Saturday after winning their first two matches in dominating fashion – they routed Libertyville Premier Orange (Ill.) 6-1 on Thursday and Lexington FC Red (Kent.) 7-1 on Friday.

The Stevens Point team won the regional title and advanced to the National Presidents Cup in 2012.

In Under-15 boys, the Neenah Fire broke even across the board, scoring nine goals and also allowing nine in finishing 1-1-1. Lars Nordang had three goals on the weekend, while Evan Dujardin had two in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Missouri's Diablos FC. At least three other state players joined Nordang and Dujardin in scoring two more goals or more at the tournament.

The Racine United Red Under-16 boys and Sun Prairie-Beaver Dam Fire Under-15 boys provided the other wins by state teams at the regional event.
