Less than three weeks after playing the top team in the FIFA Women's World Rankings, the Canadian national team will face the second-ranked side.

FC Kansas City defender Lauren Sesselmann (Green Bay Notre Dame) is one of 18 players named to the roster for Canada's international friendly at Germany on June 19 in Paderborn. The team's training camp starts Thursday.

Chicago Red Stars defender Carmelina Moscato, a former University of Wisconsin assistant, also was called in for the friendly. Both Sesselmann and Moscato played the full 90 minutes in Canada's 3-0 loss to the United States on June 2. Sesselmann has 33 caps, while Moscato has 77.

Canada, which is tied for seventh in the FIFA rankings, is winless in its past four games (0-3-1) and has lost all 10 of its previous matches against Germany.
