June 12, 2007: Steve Sperl (Wauwatosa West/UW-Milwaukee) scored in the 12th minute as Bavarian SC posted a 1-0 victory over the Cincinnati Kings of the USL Second Division in a first-round match of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at the Bavarian Complex in Glendale. The Bavarians became the first U.S. Adult Soccer Association team to beat two professional teams during the modern era of the tournament, having also knocked off the D3 Pro League's Reading Rage 1-0 in the second round in 2003.
