June 4, 1983: Leslie Potter scored twice as Whitefish Bay rolled past Milwaukee Hamilton 4-0 in the final of the inaugural WIAA state girls tournament in Menomonee Falls. Potter, who went on to play at the University of Wisconsin, had two goals earlier in the day in a 3-0 win over Madison Memorial in the semifinals. The Blue Dukes finished the season 25-0-0 and allowed just three goals.
