June 3, 2000: Waukesha Catholic Memorial blanked Milwaukee DSHA 3-0 to win the last Wisconsin Independent Schools Athletic Association girls state championship - the private schools governing body dissolved that summer, with its members joining the WIAA. The Crusaders (24-0-1), led by future U.S. national team midfielder Leslie Osborne's 35 assists, finished the season ranked first in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and allowed only five goals on the season.
