June 1, 1997: Kris Kelderman (Neenah) and Tony Sanneh (UW-Milwaukee) both scored as D.C. United knocked off the host San Jose Clash 3-2 in a Major League Soccer match. Kelderman's 39th-minute goal gave the visitors a 2-1 lead and Sanneh added what proved to be a necessary insurance goal in the 86th.
