Wisconsin soccer fans can get an up-close look at the U.S. Futsal national team in the next few days.

The U.S. team, under the direction of Milwaukee Wave coach Keith Tozer, will train at the Kern Center on the Milwaukee School of Engineering campus this weekend in preparation for next week's Four Nations Tournament in Newcastle, England.

Sessions on Saturday, Sunday and Monday start at 7 p.m. and are open to the public, free of charge. Milwaukee Wave goalkeeper Nick Vorberg and forward Bryan Perez are on the 14-player roster for the tournament, along with defender Aaron Nichols (UW).

Tozer's side will face host England on June 6, Malaysia on June 7 and Poland on June 9 at the Four Nations Tournament. The U.S. is the top-ranked team in the event at No. 34, followed by Poland at No. 42, Malaysia at No. 75 and England at No. 84.

  • Sandnes Ulf striker Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) played the final 26 minutes as Canada lost to Costa Rica 1-0 in an international friendly Tuesday night in his native Edmonton. It was the 21st career cap for the 25-year-old Ricketts with Canada, which is 0-4-1 this year and next plays Martinique in an opener of the CONCACAF Gold Cup on July 7 in Pasadena, Calif.
