James Weber (Hartford) left it late, but extended his goal-scoring streak Saturday in Sweden.

Weber finished off the scoring in Gullringens GOIF's 3-0 victory over visiting Linghems SK in the 80th minute, giving him goals in each of the team's first seven matches this season.

Gullringens GOIF (5-2-0) moved into second place in the 12-team Division 3 Nordöstra Götaland, and Weber is tied with Josef Haddad of AFK Linköping for the league lead with seven goals.

The 20-year-old Weber has 16 goals in 17 matches with Gullringens GOIF since signing with the fifth-division club last July.

  • Lauren Sesselmann (Green Bay Notre Dame) conceded a penalty kick and was sent off in the 22nd minute as FC Kansas City lost to Sky Blue FC 1-0 in a National Women's Soccer League match Saturday in Overland Park, Kan. Sesselmann was issued the red card for pulling down Lisa De Vanna in the box, and Sophie Schmidt converted the ensuing penalty for the lone goal as FC Kansas City (3-2-1) suffered its first loss in four home games. "Feel like I let my team down tonight. So proud of them and their fight to the final whistle," Sesselmann tweeted Saturday night.
  • Alex Horwath (UW) made five saves against his former team, posting his third clean sheet of the season as VSI Tampa Bay FC blanked the Wilmington Hammerheads 1-0 in a USL PRO match Sunday night in Plant City, Fla.
