May 24, 2011: Former state prep standout and Major League Soccer player and coach Kris Kelderman (Neenah) was named men's coach at UW-Green Bay. Kelderman succeeded Tom Poitras, who left the Phoenix to become coach at Hartford in his home state of Connecticut, and led UWGB to an 11-7-1 overall record in 2011 before taking over at UW-Milwaukee a year later.
