Rosie Malone-Povolny (Marquette) scored her first goal for Medkila IL on Monday, rescuing a point with an 87th-minute goal that gave the Norwegian club a 2-2 draw with visiting Vålerenga in a Toppserien match.

  • Bayern Munich announced that forward Sarah Hagen (Appleton North/UW-Milwaukee) chose not to activate an option in her contract that would have allowed her to leave the German club, confirming that she'll return to the Frauen-Bundesliga side for the 2013-14 season. Hagen, 23, tied for fifth in the league with 13 goals in 22 matches this season, and has 28 goals in 39 matches since signing with the club in January 2012.
  • Patrick McLain (Eau Claire Memorial) saved David Viana's penalty kick in the 53rd minute, but Viana scored off the rebound in Chivas USA's 3-2 victory over Real Salt Lake in a Major League Soccer Reserve League match Monday in Carson, Calif. Jose "Coco" Navarro, an incoming Marquette recruit, played the full 90 minutes for Real Salt Lake.
  • The Milwaukee Wave will continue to call U.S. Cellular Arena their home field. The Major Indoor Soccer League team announced a two-year contract with the Wisconsin Center District on Tuesday that will see the Wave extend their run at U.S. Cellular Arena, which has been their home turf for the past 10 years.
