FC Milwaukee's Development Academy teams are looking to close out the season on a high note.

The Nationals won three of four matches on the penultimate weekend of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, with the Under-15/16 team sweeping their games in Ohio against Crew Soccer Academy and Internationals.

Reid Stevenson (Sturgeon Bay) scored in the 20th and 50th minutes, following up after a 12th-minute opener from Nicholas Moon (Waukesha West) as FC Milwaukee held off Crew Soccer Academy 3-2 on Saturday in Obetz, Ohio.

A day later in Medina, Buran Huseini (South Milwaukee) scored in the 20th and Marcus McCrary (Madison La Follette) added goals in the 32nd and 46th as the Nationals cruised past Internationals 3-0. McCrary leads FC Milwaukee (10-11-3) with 13 goals in 24 matches and Stevenson has 11 in 18 heading into the June 1 season finale at the Chicago Fire.

The Under-17/18 side, meanwhile, fell behind Crew Soccer Academy after just two minutes Saturday, but pulled level through Adam Pohlman (Neenah) in the 13th. The home team, though, scored three times in 16 minutes in the final half hour to extend the Nationals' winless streak to nine matches (0-7-2). That streak came to an end the next morning.

FC Milwaukee yielded an early goal again, as Internationals scored in the seventh minute, but Tyler Saad (Madison La Follette) equalized two minutes later, Nikola Atlija (Franklin) gave the Nationals (4-17-3) the lead with his team-best fifth goal of the season in the 30th and Pohlman sealed the team's second win of the spring with his second goal of the weekend in the 79th.
