The Northern Wisconsin Soccer League is scheduled to start Sunday afternoon, with 14 men's amateur teams from the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas set to kick off the season.

Eight teams make up Division I: Fond du Lac Express, FC Oshkosh, Kiel SC, Neenah Boom, DC Express (Green Bay), Green Bay Kickers, Green Bay Team Miller and Yale United (Green Bay).

The six-team Division II competition features Eclipse FC (Neenah), FC Oshkosh, DC Express (Green Bay), FC Masters (Green Bay), Team Green Bay Packaging and Westchester United FC (Green Bay).

Meanwhile, the Madison Soccer Association has completed two rounds of play in its short spring 2013 season, which will lead in to a return to a fall-spring championship format this fall.

The defending champion Madison Fire (1-0-1) lead the Division 1 standings, while the Wisconsin Wizards – promoted after winning the past two Division 2 titles – have tied both of their matches in Division 1. Madison Hotspur, Madison United Juniors and World Players are all 2-0-0 in Division 2.
