The unbeaten Waukesha Catholic Memorial prep girls soccer team has caught the attention of the voters in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll.

The Crusaders (13-0-1) made their season debut in the national poll this week, checking in at No. 17.

Catholic Memorial, which has been ranked first in the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Division 2 poll all season, also is fourth in the NSCAA Region III rankings.

  • Menomonee Falls (10-0-2) is eighth in the NSCAA regional poll, and the Indians are the only state team in this week's Elite Soccer Report Top 50 at No. 48.
  • Freshman forward Jen Brien scored her team-best seventh goal of the season in the 18th minute and host Oregon (12-1-1) – ranked ninth in the WSCA Division 1 state poll – topped Madison Edgewood 1-0 on Monday to wrap up its second straight perfect Southern Badger Conference season. It's been a while since a Panthers team lost in conference play: the Oregon boys have won their past 26 league games over four-plus years, while the girls' streak now stands at 13.
