What a difference a week made in the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association girls polls.

Teams moved up and down all over the rankings released late Sunday night, especially in Division 1, where Cedarburg (4-3-0) jumped up from fourth to take over the No. 1 spot.

Waunakee (5-1-1), meanwhile, took over at No. 2 out of nowhere – the Warriors weren't even honorable mention in last week's first poll of the weather-plagued season – and Menomonee Falls (6-0-2) rose two spots to third.

Previous No. 1 Kettle Moraine (5-2-0) fell to 10th after suffering its first loss of the season, 3-0 to now-No. 7 Brookfield Central. Two other teams ranked last week find themselves in honorable mention this week: Kimberly (10-1-0), which was second, lost to now No. 8 Waukesha West 3-1, while Oregon (9-1-0) slipped from sixth despite winning all four of its matches last week.

Lake Country Lutheran (5-0-0), the defending WIAA Division 3 state champion, joined Cedarburg as a new No. 1, rising two spots to take over the top spot from Ozaukee (8-0-1). The Division 3 rankings feature two teams that weren't a part of last week's polls: No. 3 Oostburg (8-0-2) and No. 5 Racine Prairie School (3-4-2).

With such a small sample size for the voting panels to consider, it's probably not a surprise to see so many changes in the polls.

The Division 2 rankings bucked the trend, though: The top four teams remained the same, with Appleton Xavier (3-0-0) moving up from honorable mention to No. 5, switching spots with Shorewood (5-3-1).
