Both FC Milwaukee teams dropped 3-0 decisions to Sockers FC in their home openers Saturday in Germantown.
The Under-17/18 match was scoreless well into the second half, but the visitors scored three times in the final half hour to send the Nationals to their third loss in as many games.
Matthew Quick broke the deadlock in the 60th, and Justin Gavros (88th) and Jacob Bevan (90th) sealed the victory for the Sockers (3-0-0) in the final minutes.
The Sockers (1-0-2) scored all three of their goals in the first half in the Under-15/16 match, getting goals from Kyle Thomson in the 27th, Frank Bak in the 40th and Kiel Pederson in the 44th as they handed FC Milwaukee (1-1-1) its first loss of the season in Central Conference Mid-America Division play.
The Nationals face another challenging opponent Sunday as they play at Chicago Magic PSG – both of their teams have nine goals through three matches, with the Under-17/18 team 3-0-0 and the Under-15/16 side 1-1-1.
