FC Milwaukee's Under-15/16 boys team fell behind the Indiana Fire Academy early Sunday afternoon, but stormed back for its third win of the season in U.S. Soccer Development Academy play.
Marcus McCrary (Madison La Follette) scored twice – his third two-goal game of the year – as the Nationals surged to a 4-1 victory on their home turf in Germantown.
The visitors went ahead through Nolan Schloneger in the seventh minute before McCrary equalized in the 20th.
Buran Huseini (South Milwaukee) put FC Milwaukee ahead in the 35th, McCrary made it 3-1 in 42nd and Nicholas Moon (Waukesha West) added another goal in the 48th. It was the first goal of the season for both Huseini and Moon; McCrary, meanwhile, has half of the team's 12 goals.
The Nationals (3-4-1), who dropped a 3-0 decision to the Chicago Fire on Saturday, are sixth out of 13 teams in the Central Conference Mid-America Division.
In Under-17/18 action, FC Milwaukee (0-7-1) earned its first point of the season with a 0-0 draw with the Indiana Fire Academy on Sunday. Bryan Seefeld (Hartland Arrowhead) posted the clean sheet against the Indiana side, which is third in the division.
The older Nationals team also lost to the Chicago Fire a day earlier, falling 7-1. Tyler Saad (Madison La Follette) scored their lone goal in the 48th, cutting the Fire's lead to 3-1.
Both FC Milwaukee teams are off this weekend before heading to St. Louis for matches against Scott Gallagher Missouri on Nov. 10 and Scott Gallagher Metro on Nov. 11 – the Nationals' final scheduled games of the fall.
