The Wisconsin 1996 boys team had a rough start to the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Championships.

Zachary Zandi opened the scoring in the eighth minute and had the last of three second-half goals Friday night as Eastern Pennsylvania cruised to a 4-0 victory over Wisconsin in a semifinal at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

Wisconsin, which qualified for the finals by winning the Region II title last summer, will play Region III champion North Carolina in the consolation match at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Eastern Pennsylvania led 1-0 at halftime thanks to Zandi's early strike, then got goals from Matthew Barile in the 47th and Christian Bukowski in the 69th before Zandi finished off the scoring in the 72nd.

The Region I champions will face California South, the Region IV champion, in Sunday's final. Cal South got past North Carolina 1-0 in the other semifinal.
