Wisconsin teams had a great weekend at the Annandale (Va.) Premier Cup, with five sides combining for just two losses in 15 matches – both by 1-0 scorelines – at one of the nation's top club boys tournaments.

United FC turned in an eye-opening performance in the Under-16 Showcase I Division. Ranked 113th in the country, the Kenosha side dominated three highly regarded opponents, beating 12th-ranked DSB Kickers United from Delaware 4-0, eighth-ranked Annandale United FC Spartans 3-0 and fifth-ranked Washington United Lightning from New Jersey 3-1.

In Under-15 play, North Shore United won the adidas Predator I title. The Cedarburg club drew Maryland's Pipeline SC Black 0-0 in its opener in pool play, then thumped Pennsylvania's Capital Area Titans 6-0 and Maryland's ASA Arsenal Premier 3-0 and got past Ohio's Challenger Crew Juniors Gold 2-1 in the final.

The Croatian Eagles Under-17 team won both of its matches in adidas Bracket G, tipping Pennsylvania's Capital Area Black 3-2 and blanking Virginia's Herndon Storm 2-0. In Bracket G, North Shore United Blue went 0-1-2, with draws against Maryland Rush Nike Premier (0-0) and New York's Black Watch Premier Keelley (1-1) following a 1-0 loss to Minnesota's Dakota Rev SC Pumas.

And the Elm Grove Blues Under-18 team won the Under-19 adidas Bracket C title on goal differential after finishing 2-1-0 in a division with significantly higher ranked teams.

The Blues had 2-0 wins over fellow Under-18 Annandale Boys and Girls Club United Force – ranked 17th in the country – and Maryland's Baltimore Bays SC Blue Lions 2-0 sandwiched around a 1-0 loss to Pennsylvania's UGH Fusion Premier for a plus-3 goal differential, one better than Annandale Boys and Girls Club. Elm Grove is ranked 250th in the nation; the Bays are 167th and UGH Fusion is 125th.
