Kettle Moraine, Waukesha Catholic Memorial and Ozaukee are the top-ranked teams in the first Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association girls poll of the weather-delayed season.

The Lasers finished 14-4-0 last season, with two of their losses 1-0 setbacks against Waukesha West – the second coming in a WIAA sectional final. But Kettle Moraine beat the Wolverines 2-1 last Tuesday and beat perennial power Brookfield East 1-0 on Saturday.

Kimberly, which has outscored opponents 48-3 in winning its first eight matches, is second behind the Lasers in the Division 1 poll, while Kenosha Tremper (8-0-1) checked in at No. 3. Defending state champion Madison West (4-2-1) isn't in the rankings.

Reigning Division 2 state champion Catholic Memorial (8-0-1) is off and running with a plus-43 goal differential, having won four games in Georgia and South Carolina in early April while most fields in Wisconsin were unplayable. Green Bay Notre Dame is second ahead of third-ranked Grafton, which tied Tremper 3-3 on Saturday.

Ozaukee (7-0-0) also has been in the goals early on, scoring three or more in each of its past six matches.

The Warriors topped Menasha St. Mary Central 3-2 on April 6 – the Zephyrs are fourth in the rankings, behind Racine St. Catherine's (6-3-0) and defending Division 3 state champion Lake Country Lutheran (4-0-0).
