UW-Platteville led the way on the All-Wisconsin State Team, which honors the state's top NCAA Division III men's soccer players.

The Pioneers, who won their first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament for the first time, had four selections on the 14-member first team.

Platteville senior forward Brandon Chmiel (Cedarburg) was named Player of the Year. The WIAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and a second-team pick on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-North Region team, Chmiel led the Pioneers with 14 goals and eight assists.

Senior midfielder Chris Brown (McFarland), junior goalkeeper Ian Christensen (Oregon) and junior defender Michael Prudisch (Verona) also made the first team for Platteville – all three joined Chmiel on the North Region second team – while the Pioneers' Enzo Fuschino was tabbed Coach of the Year.

Milwaukee School of Engineering senior striker Jordan Werner was the Offensive Player of the Year after his massive season for the Raiders. He finished second in the nation with 23 goals and third with 55 points, both program records, and tied the mark with nine assists. Teammate Logan Andryk (Milwaukee Marquette), who was an NSCAA third-team All-American after a 14-goal, nine-assist freshman season, also landed on the top team.

The Defensive Player of the Year was Carroll junior defender Mark Gore, who helped the Pioneers advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament before a 2-1 loss to Platteville. Carthage senior defender Will Veliz was the Sportsman of the Year.

Three players were first-team selections for the second straight year: Chmiel, Concordia senior midfielder Kyle Sytsma and Beloit College senior forward Jackson Wilkins. The team was chosen by the state's Division III coaches who are members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
