Reigning WIAA state champion Milwaukee Marquette tops the first Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Division 1 boys poll of the season.

Five of the teams that qualified for the state tournament last fall are in the top 10 in the state's largest division, with No. 2 Green Bay Preble, joint No. 3s Middleton and Kettle Moraine – state runner-up in 2011 – and No. 5 Brookfield East joining the Hilltoppers.

Marquette and Preble played to a 2-2 draw Saturday in the final of Brookfield East's Al Gusho Memorial Tournament, with the Hilltoppers claiming the title 7-6 on penalty kicks.

In the other two divisions, last season's runners-up start this year atop the rankings.

Waukesha Catholic Memorial  – a state finalist each of the past five years – heads up the Division 2 poll, with 2011 champion Mount Horeb checking in at No. 3. Two-time defending Division 3 champion Racine Prairie School is second behind Winnebago Lutheran in Division 3.
