Voters in the in the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association poll seem to have narrowed in on the state's top three Division 1 teams.

Milwaukee Marquette, Middleton and Green Bay Preble held down those places for the third straight week, with the Cardinals second for the second consecutive week.

The Hilltoppers (9-0-2) won all three of their matches last week, beating Menomonee Falls 4-1 before knocking off Kansas City's Rockhurst 2-1 and host Regis Jesuit 8-2 at the Jesuit Classic in Aurora, Colo., to extend their unbeaten streak to 47 games (44-0-3). Marquette's last loss was 3-1 to Brookfield East on Sept. 28, 2010.

Middleton (10-1-1), meanwhile, knocked off then-No. 7 Madison West 3-1 in a Big Eight Conference showdown last Friday. Voters appeared impressed with the result, as the Regents (11-1-0) moved up three spots despite the loss.

Preble (10-2-3) kept its grip on the third spot even though Kenosha Tremper thumped the Hornets 4-1 on Friday night. Preble responded well with a 5-1 rout of then-No. 4 Kenosha Bradford on Saturday, with senior Audi Jepson recording a hat trick. Jepson, who has verbally committed to UW-Green Bay, has 14 goals and 16 assists for the Hornets. Tremper (12-2-0) moved into the poll at No. 9 this week, while Bradford (11-2-0) slid down to 10th.

The division 2 and 3 polls each contained the same five teams from last week. Appleton Xavier (10-4-1) jumped from fifth to second in the Division 2 rankings, swapping spots with Green Bay Notre Dame (10-5-1), while there were no changes in the Division 3 poll.
