Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) scored his fifth international goal Friday night as Canada dropped Cuba 3-0 in a CONCACAF World Cup qualifier at BMO Field in Toronto and set up a huge match in Honduras.

Canada is 3-1-1 in Group C of semifinal qualifying, which wraps up Tuesday. A win or tie would be enough for the Canadians to claim one of the six spots in next year's final round of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

On Friday, Ricketts' 15th-minute goal gave Canada the lead in what turned out to be a dominating performance.

Ante Jazic played a ball in from the left side that looked like it was intended for Atiba Hutchinson. The pass was behind his run, but ended up setting up Ricketts perfectly for the finish past Cuban goalkeeper Odelin Molina.

Ricketts played 86 minutes in his 17th career cap for Canada, which got goals from Will Johnson in the 73rd and David Edgar in the 78th to finish off the victory.

Tuesday's match against Honduras (2-1-2) kicks off at 3 p.m. in San Pedro Sula. Panama (3-1-1), which leads the group over Canada based on goal differential, faces Cuba (0-5-0) at the same time.
