Lauren Sesselmann (Green Bay Notre Dame) and Carmelina Moscato, who formed the center back partnership for the Canadian women's national team that claimed the bronze medal at last summer's London Olympics, could be reunited soon.

Sesselmann and Moscato, an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, were among the 25 players called in to the team for next month's Cyprus Women's Cup.

Canada, which lost to France 2-0 in last year's Cyprus Cup final, will arrive in Larnaka on Feb. 25 and train until starting play in the tournament March 6 against Switzerland. The team closes out group play against Finland on March 8 and the Netherlands on March 11, with a placement match on March 13.

The 29-year-old Sesselmann, who is set to play for FC Kansas City in the National Women's Soccer League, has earned 26 caps (24 starts) since receiving Canadian citizenship in 2011 – she was born in Stevens Point and raised in Green Bay, but qualified for dual citizenship because her father is Canadian.

Moscato, 28, has logged 70 caps (45 starts) for the national team over the past eight years. She joined the Badgers' coaching staff last year after returning from the Olympics, having played for UW coach Paula Wilkins at Penn State, and was allocated to the Chicago Red Stars in NWSL.
