The U.S. Futsal national team, led by Milwaukee Wave coach Keith Tozer, finished 0-3 in group play at the Grand Prix tournament in Manaus, Brazil.

The Americans, ranked 24th in the world, lost to No. 27 Uruguay 7-0 and sixth-ranked Iran 8-0 on Monday before closing out Group C play at the elite tournament Tuesday with a 10-7 loss to Belgium. The results sent them into the consolation round.

Veteran Wave midfielder Matt Stewart has served as the U.S. captain and scored against Belgium, a game in which the Americans led 5-4 before the 30th-ranked Belgians scored five consecutive goals to take control. He also scored in a 5-2 loss to the Netherlands on Thursday.

The U.S., which faces Belgium again on Friday, will have qualifying for the 2012 Futsal World Cup, which is next November in Thailand.
