The U.S. National Futsal team, led by Milwaukee Wave coach Keith Tozer, will play defending regional champion Guatemala, Panama and Canada or El Salvador in Group A of the CONCACAF Futsal Championship this summer in Guatemala City.

Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica and St. Kitts and Nevis were drawn into Group B at the tournament, which is July 2 to 8 at Domo Polideportivo. The top two finishers in each group will advance to the semifinals and earn berths in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Nov. 2 to 18 in Thailand.

The U.S. team, which likely will include current or former Wave players along with other Major Indoor Soccer League players, won the CONCACAF Futsal Championship in 1996 and 2004. The Americans also qualified for the World Cup in 2008, but didn't advance out of group play.

Canada plays El Salvador in a two-leg playoff June 28 and 29 at Domo Polideportivo to determine the final qualifier for the regional tournament.
