National team news: Prpa back in camp

Wind Lake's Luka Prpa earned another call-up to a U.S. Under-14 boys national team training camp.

The defender, who plays club soccer with North Shore United in Cedarburg, is one of 36 players called in by coachHugo Perez for the week-long camp that starts Sunday in Carson, Calif.

Prpa will be playing in his third national team camp, following camps last August and again in March.

  • Milwaukee Wave midfielder Matt Stewart is one of 14 Major Indoor Soccer League players named to a 22-player roster for a six-day U.S. Futsal National Team training camp that started Sunday in Torrance, Calif. Wave coach Keith Tozer is preparing the U.S. team for the CONCACAF Futsal Championship, which is July 2 to 8 in Guatemala. Stewart is one of three players in camp who played in the 2008 Futsal World Cup.
