Sarah Hagen (Appleton North/UW-Milwaukee) opened the scoring in the 19th minute as the U.S. Under-23 women's national team beat host Norway 4-1 on Sunday in Stjordalen to win the Three Nations Tournament.
The Bayern Munich striker scored her ninth goal for the Under-23 team after a poor goal kick by Norwegian goalkeeper Hilde Gunn Olsen, slotting home a shot from 12 yards out. She played 79 minutes in the victory.
Hagen came on as a halftime sub in the team's first match at the tournament, a 1-1 draw with Sweden on Friday. The Americans will play Norway again in a friendly on Tuesday in Stjordalen to wrap up their trip.
