Age: 30. Hometown: Madison. Occupation: News reporter, WISC (Ch. 3). Current teams: Madison Celtics coed (indoor and outdoor). How long have you been playing? "Very little. I remember playing as a child, but I just picked it up again about three years ago as something to do with my wife." Favorite rec soccer moment: "I had two goals in one game. If you seen me out there on the pitch, you know how big a deal that is." Boots: "I have some Nike boots that probably need replacing." Why do you play? "Good exercise and I've really fallen in love with the sport." Do you have an on-field pet peeve? "Players that take it too seriously." Are you a soccer fan? If so, any specific teams or leagues? "I originally got interested in soccer to have something to discuss with my wife's family. They are all big soccer fans. Now, I'm pretty devoted to the English Premier League. My brother-in-law is a Newcastle fan. My father-in-law likes Manchester United. So naturally, I've adopted Liverpool as my team. I recently convinced my wife we needed the Latino package from Charter to get GolTV so I can get into Spanish and German football this fall." Does your team have a rival? "No bad blood. I'm just out there to have fun." What aspect of your game needs work? "Finishing, ball control, passing, speed, defense — did I miss anything?" How would WISC sportscaster George Johnson describe your play on the field? "He probably wouldn't be able to describe anything with all the laughing going on."
