Fremington Football Club's crest has the letters "FFC" on it, which makes perfect sense.
But it also could stand for Facebook Football Club.
A club with the same name was among the top teams in the North Devon Football League, which is in the 12th division in English soccer – or 11 levels below the Premier League – but folded in 2005, leaving Fremington (population 3,923) without a team.
Until last winter, when Darren Hart was talking to his boss, who joked that he should start his own team. Hart promptly started a Facebook group and did just that.
Fremington FC returned to the field in August in the North Devon League – as a new club, they had to start in the 15th division – but have won their first six matches and outscored opponents 44-6.
