Nick VorbergThe Milwaukee Wave's Nick Vorberg was named the Major Indoor Soccer League Goalkeeper of the Month for December.

Vorberg was 2-0 with a 7.50 points-against average in the month, as he allowed seven goals in 120 minutes and earned his 100th career win for the Wave.

For the season, Vorberg is 4-0, leads the league with an 8.00 points-against average and ranks third with a .700 save percentage. He and Marcel Feenstra have been alternating in goal – if coach Keith Tozer continues with that rotation, Vorberg would start for the Wave (8-1) on Friday night against the Missouri Comets (8-6) at U.S. Cellular Arena.

  • Three players who completed their careers at UW-Green Bay in the fall – right back Stuart Grable (Neenah), defender Tony Patterson (Menomonee Falls) and forward AJ Konchar – were scheduled to participate in the InfoSport Pro Combine, a three-day event that started Tuesday in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The combine includes coaches and scouts from Major League Soccer, the North American Soccer League and the United Soccer Leagues PRO league.
