Matt Pyzdrowski (Marquette) and Ängelholms FF will have a chance to earn promotion to the Allsvenskan, Sweden's top division, for next season.
But it appears likely it will be in the form of a playoff against a current Allsvenskan team.
Pyzdrowski made nine saves Saturday as Ängelholms drew with IFK Värnamo 1-1 and clinched no worse than third place in the 16-team Superettan.
The top two teams in the second division are promoted to the Allsvenskan, while the third-place team plays the 14th-place club from the Allsvenskan in a playoff for the final spot in the league.
Åtvidabergs (18-8-3) secured one of the automatic promotion spots by beating previous leader GIF Sundsvall 1-0 on Monday. Heading into Saturday's regular-season finales, Sundsvall (16-7-6) has 55 points, two more than Ängelholms (15-6-8).
To claim the second automatic promotion spot, Ängelholms must beat 13th-place Hammarby and have 12th-place Jönköpings Södra IF upset Sundsvall. If Sundsvall ties and Ängelholms wins, which would leave the teams tied on 56 points, Sundsvall would earn the spot thanks to a superior goal differential (plus-33 to plus-8).
Syrianska FC (8-17-4) likely will finish 14th in the Allsvenskan. Trelleborg FF (7-18-4) could move into the spot and avoid automatic relegation by beating IF Elfsborg in its finale Sunday, having GAIS beat Syrianska and making up a seven-goal differential in the process.
Charles Kazlauskas (Milwaukee Thomas More) scored his fourth goal in the past five Jupiler League matches as Helmond Sport drew with MVV Maastricht 3-3 on Friday night in Holland's second division. Kazlauskas opened the scoring with a header in the sixth minute for Helmond Sport (4-3-2), which allowed the next three goals before scoring twice in second-half stoppage time to earn a point. Here's a link to the goal.
Milwaukee Wave players and coaches will receive their 2010-11 Major Indoor Soccer League championship rings before the team's exhibition game against the Cincinnati Kings of the Professional Arena Soccer League on Nov. 5 at U.S. Cellular Arena.
