Wisconsin's ProsCharles Kazlauskas (Milwaukee Thomas More) scored his first league goal since February 2010 as host Helmond Sport beat 10-man FC Zwolle 3-1 in a Jupiler League match Monday night in Holland.

Kazlauskas started at right midfielder and put Helmond Sport (3-2-0) ahead in the 14th minute with his first goal in league play since Feb. 19, 2010.

It was his seventh goal overall in three seasons with the club, his most recent one coming during a Dutch Cup match last September.

Here's a video of the goal:

  • Ashley Bares (Ozaukee/Marquette) and Stjarnan wrapped up play in Iceland's Úrvalsdeild on Saturday, thumping visiting Breiðablik 5-0. Stjarnan (17-1-0) won its final 15 matches to claim its first title in the country's top league for women's soccer and qualify for the 2012-13 UEFA Women's Champions League. Bares scored the opener Saturday to finish as the Golden Boot winner with 21 goals, seven more than anyone else in the league, and was named to the team of the second half of the season – she was one of five players named to the first- and second-half honor teams. Bares was the top player for the first half of the season, while teammate Gunnhildur Yrsa Jónsdóttir claimed the second-half award.
  • Former Cardinal Stritch players Paul Dugdale and David Perich were in the starting lineup as third-seeded Inglewood United lost to second-seeded Perth SC 4-2 Sunday in Perth, Australia, in the All Flags qualifying final, the first match of the playoffs for the second-division Football West Premier League. Dugdale was subbed out at halftime and Perich was substituted in the 49th minute for Inglewood United (11-8-4), which plays host to No. 4 seed Sorrento (11-6-6) in the minor semifinal Saturday.
  • The NSC Minnesota Stars of the North American Soccer League ended their loan agreement with Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City concerning defender-midfielder Scott Lorenz (UW) last week. "We wish Scotty the best, and we're disappointed that his time here didn't work out this year," Stars coach Manny Lagos said in a news release. Lorenz started all eight matches for NSC Minnesota during the loan, logging 865 minutes – he was a starter for the Stars last season – and is back with Sporting Kansas City.
