Midfielder Andy Adlard (Brookfield East) was invited to this week's Major League Soccer Player Combine, the official Indiana University men's soccer Twitter feed reported Monday.
Adlard was a third-team selection on the National Soccer Coaches Association of American All-Great Lakes Region team as a senior last fall. He tied his career high with seven goals and had a career-best seven assists in 20 matches (all starts) for the Hoosiers.
Adlard, whose father, Steve, was the Marquette coach from 1992 to 2005, finished his college career with 19 goals (10 game-winners) and 17 assists in 86 games (69 starts). He converted all five of his penalty kicks while at Indiana.
He joins midfielder-forward JC Banks (Milwaukee Riverside/UW-Green Bay) as the state players chosen to participate in the five-day combine, which starts Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The MLS SuperDraft is Jan. 13 in Baltimore.
