FC Politehnica Timişoara forward Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) will continue his run with the Canadian national team, as he was called into camp for the team's final two second-round CONCACAF World Cup 2014 qualifiers against St. Kitts and Nevis.
Canada (3-0-1) needs just one point out of the two games against the tiny Caribbean country to win Group D and advance to a third-round qualifying group with Honduras, Panama and Cuba. The other two groups feature U.S. and Mexico, and play in that round is expected to start in June.
Ricketts, 24, has seven career caps, all this year, and has played in three of the Canadians' four World Cup qualifiers so far. He'll likely miss two Romanian Liga II Seria 2 matches for Poli Timişoara – he has three goals in nine matches in all competitions this season. Canada plays at St. Kitts and Nevis (1-0-3) next Friday in Basseterre, St. Kitts, and the teams meet again four days later in Toronto.
